Events at the Cobham Studio

More than a class.
A community.

You might first come to the studio for the barre, Pilates or strength. But there’s something lovely about getting to know the people you usually share a class with, beyond a quick hello before the music starts.

Why we do it

Our events give you time to do exactly that. To chat over brunch, try something creative together and turn familiar faces into friends.

They’re the cherry on top of everything you already love about coming here. A chance to get more out of your studio, feel more connected and make it a bigger part of your life.

The community at the heart of the studio

The classes give us something in common. The time together afterwards is where we really get to know each other.

From Barre & Brunch to creative workshops and evenings together, our events make room for the conversations that don’t quite fit between classes. Come with a friend or come on your own. There’s a place for you here.

Come for the class. Stay for the people.

What to expect

The sort of thing we do

Some of it involves exercise. Quite a lot of it involves rosé.

  • A group at a Barre and Brunch table01

    Barre & Brunch

A class together, then coffee and something good to eat. No rush and nowhere to be. Just time to sit and talk properly.

  • A table set up for vase painting02

    Vase painting

No artistic talent required. Just a little creativity, very good company and a vase you’ll be surprisingly proud to take home.

  • A bracelet-making table with crystal beads and a Pea’s Beads guide03

    Bracelet making

An afternoon of making something by hand, with easy conversation alongside it. Most people end up making one for someone they love.

  • The studio community together on the lawn04

    Summer sports day

Once a year we take over the garden for our very own sports day. Passé the parcel, wall sit trivia and some fiercely competitive giggling, followed by a BBQ lunch to refuel.

  • Baskets of fresh greenery ready for a wreath-making workshop05

    Wreath making

Armfuls of fresh greenery, a glass of something festive and a helping hand when yours goes a bit wonky. You’ll take home a wreath for your front door.

  • A workshop talk in the lounge, with guests on the sofa06

    Workshops

Expert-led sessions on alignment, pelvic floor health and understanding your body, with practical advice you can take into everyday life.

Have the studio to yourselves

Hen parties, birthdays and getting your favourite people in one room

Up to ten of you, the studio to yourselves, and a class pitched at whoever’s in the room. It’s usually a lovely mix of people who do this every week and people who have never held a barre. Everyone is looked after.

Add brunch, fizz or a creative workshop afterwards.

Tell me the date and roughly who’s coming, and I’ll put something together for you.

You don’t have to be a member

Plenty of people who come along aren’t.

  • 01Everyone’s welcome

Bring a friend, bring your mum, or come on your own. There’s a place for you here.

  • 02Members book first

You’ll hear about each one first and can book before it opens to everyone else. They do fill up, which is the only reason it matters.

  • 03Come just for the event

You don’t need to book a class or join the studio. You’re welcome to come simply because it sounds like a lovely morning.

There’s a place for you here.

Come along to one and see what it’s like. Bring someone with you, or come on your own and leave knowing a few more people than you did.
